Dear Lewisboro Residents,
We have pioneered an extremely successful remote learning center called the Lewisboro Learning Lot since September 14th. The current session will come to an end on Friday, December 18th. We plan to start a new session that would tentatively run from January 4th to March 26th and hope that you will consider joining us. Please read information below as some of the policies and groupings have changed.
The purpose of our program, "Lewisboro Learning Lot” or as we are nicknaming it “LLL”, is to provide an academically oriented space to supplement the virtual school classes provided by Increase Miller, Katonah and Meadow Pond Elementary Schools. All participants must be in grades 1st through 5th, however 1st will have a Wednesday only option, and 2nd grade will only have the full remote or Wednesdays only option as they are not assigned to hybrid cohorts.
The program will continue to be supervised by directors, Michael Portnoy and Reed Pullem and will have class leaders assigned to each group. Our class leaders are recent graduates from accredited education programs and have experience working with children.
Utilizing the Lewisboro Gym, we will be able to accommodate a limited amount of students per cohort session. KLSD Cohort A will meet on Thursdays and Fridays while KLSD Cohort B will meet on Mondays and Tuesdays, and we will accept any student on Wednesdays for an additional fee. The classes will be divided into small/limited classes (no more than 12 students) and separated based on the student’s grade and by school area. All students must bring their own iPad, headphones, and chargers to login to their virtual classes. Thanks to the newly passed CARES Act, and the support of County Executive George Latimer and County Legislator Kitley Covill, the fee for the program has been reduced to only $35.00 per day.
Though we break this down by a daily rate, there are no drop-in rates available.

GREAT NEWS – we are proceeding with a supervised space for distant learning for children of working parents of The Town of Lewisboro Residents (those who pay property taxes to the Town of Lewisboro). If we don’t fill the program we will accept school district residents (from Pound Ridge, Bedford and North Salem).
We are eagerly planning a study hall for the Town of Lewisboro students of the Katonah-Lewisboro School District (KLSD) starting this Fall. The purpose of this program "Lewisboro Learning Lot” or as we are nicknaming it 3Ls is to provide an academically oriented space to supplement the virtual school classes provided by Increase Miller, Katonah and Meadow Pond Elementary Schools. We anticipate running this program during school hours from September to December with a start date of Monday, September 14th and an end date of Friday, December 18th. The eligible participants must be Lewisboro residents and must be in grades 2nd through 5th. The program will be supervised by directors, Michael Portnoy and Reed Pullem and will include three class leaders. The class leaders are recent graduates from accredited education programs and have experience working with children.
Utilizing the Lewisboro gym, we will be able to accommodate a limited amount of students per cohort sessions. KLSD Cohort A will meet on Thursdays and Fridays while KLSD Cohort B will meet on Mondays and Tuesdays, and we will alternate supervision for Wednesdays between the cohort groups. The classes will be divided into small/limited classes (no more than 12 students) and separated based on the student’s grade and by school area. All students must bring their own device to login to their virtual classes. The fee for the program is $60 per day with an estimate of 30 days of supervision for KLSD Cohort A and 32 days for KLSD Cohort B.
