  • Our Trail Crew generally work weekday mornings with occasional weekend mornings.

  • Trail Monitors work at their convenience while hiking town owned preserve and park trails.

Trail Crew

Our Trail Crew builds and restores trail and preserve features, works on major trail repair and performs periodic maintenance. The Trail Crew removes downed trees, builds and reroutes trails, repairs erosion and completes trail and preserve construction projects such as steppingstones, water bars, steps, picnic tables, bog bridges and stream bridges. Our team has fun together in the woods, while keeping the preserves in great shape.

Trail Monitors

Each town-owned preserve has volunteer trail monitors who hike and monitor "their" preserve trails regularly. Trail Monitors' responsibilities include hiking trails and reporting major issues such as trees across trails or trail damage and water on trails. Monitors clear trails of small branches and litter. Trail monitoring can be done on your own schedule.
